As Donald Trump first came to power as President of The United States NICKSTIR was, as many have been, unsettled... and provoked to write this track.
Fear played it's part in the writing. Fear of what? The bully, the rhetoric, the lies, the mob who would attack online and at your front door if you stand against them? So NICKSTIR relates a questioning song. No judgement, just questions. Of course many do not listen to the detail and may condemn based on the questioning. A 'how dare you' attack philosophy that for some controls. As it is designed to.
Marcus Ulysees Darwin III (no relation) is lead singer of MUDATTHEWALL. He brought NIICKSTIR'S song to life with powerful Production inspiration from Andrew and Zach Smith of Lake Studios in Kelowna, Canada.
Now - it's suddenly past 2024 and history is repeating itself. With more confidence and an unlimited Legal War chest to get results embraced.
NICKSTIR read the detailed Biography of Mr Trump 'Confidence Man' by Maggie Haberman. Around 350 pages of analysis based on detailed research over time. Eyes opened, preconceptions correct. The song stands.
Surely, in a Country of hundreds of millions, another could be found to stand for good who does not: lie - as a strategy, bully - as a strategy, bluster - as a child, as a strategy, flatter - as a strategy, create division - as a strategy and petulantly seems to care more for their own fame than for their country?
No... Self evidently. Fifty percent of Americans vote for this leadership. So - eyes open - this is half of America. A President modelling the way forward for a robust Nation. Fervent Evangelicals somehow thinking he is The Trumpeter. And perhaps the quieter half are steam rollered into the dust as things move forward.
Seems the idea of debate, to gain understanding and work for peace is a misnomer. One may hope that rulers would seek to protect, serve, stand against the bully and aggressor and model decency. Not right now it seems in America.
